I launched a small business to promote my Luxury Picnics. in San Diego. With the pandemic extending for a whole year or more, I wanted to bring special moments to people who wanted to find something to do at the comfort of their home or outdoor social distancing locations. Meet Amanda Peralta | Event Planner & Small Business Owner
I came up with Design Your Life Planner because I love celebrating people. I enjoy making people feel special, they matter and that they are heard. Ever since I was a young girl, I loved decorating for people’s birthdays. While I was in college, I interned as wedding assistant coordinator and worked as an event captain at the San Francisco Zoo. During the pandemic, I loved going on picnic dates with my partner, enjoying the beautiful outdoors. I love making our picnics cute and tailored to what we like. I wanted to show people a great way to just pause from this crazy time in life while being socially distant, It is as if they are on a mini vacation – nice view, greta ambiance and great company..

The beginnings of Design Your Life purely started off as a vision. I had this concept of bringing loved ones together but wanting to make it COVID friendly, safe and socially distant. My team consisted of family members and friends who supported my dreams. Cannot thank them enough. We did not have a lot of picnic materials at the time. I started off with 1 to 2 themes that I could commit to and we had a beautiful wooden low table to work with that elevated our picnic experience..
